The town of New Milford is located in Litchfield County, Western Connecticut, covers the largest area in the state at 64.4 square miles and is the home to approximately 23, 420 residents. It was originally settled in 1707 and incorporated in October of 1712 when it supported only twelve families. The principal manufactures of the town are concentrated foods, paper and brass products, and precision electrical instruments.
