Camby Raising Money for SAND School
NBA star and Hartford native Marcus Camby and The CambyLand Foundation will hold a fundraiser for the New SAND Elementary School in Hartford at The Bar With No Name on Friday, August 28. Camby's new reading club, "Rebound by Reading," will also be unveiled at the event.

The CambyLand Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Camby, was established to provide support for the youth of Connecticut. The New SAND Elementary School's low test scores on the Connecticut Mastery Test encouraged the foundation to become more involve with helping the students achieve better reading skills.

The event will begin with a corporate VIP All Star Party, which will be held at The Civic Cafe on Trumbull Street from 8 pm until 9 pm. The guests will then be escorted to the party already in swing at The Bar With No Name. Guests will have a chance to win tickets to a New York Knicks game in Madison Square Garden. Tickets to the event are available for $35. For tickets and other information call the CambyLand Foundation at (860) 648-2871 or Debbie Rossitto at the Civic Cafe at (860) 493-7412.
