On Friday, August 7, the Hartford Police Department's 1998
Summer Youth Academy joined in a celebration at Riverside Park
with participants in Riverfront Recapture's Summer Youth Employment
Program. The Riverfront Recapture youth employees spent the last
six weeks building Chamberlin Gunning Dories and many of the
youngsters at the celebration were able to take a ride out on
the river in one of the brand new boats.
