Felice "Felix" V. Musumeci, 71, of Hartford, beloved
husband of Josephine (Marotta) Musumeci, died Monday, October
5, 1998 at his home on Evergreen Avenue. Born in Buenos Aires,
Argentina, son of the late Rosario and Josephine (Micale) Musumeci,
he lived in Hartford 45 years. Arriving in Hartford in 1953 he
assisted families new to the city to find employment and places
to live as well as aiding them in acquiring U.S. citizenship.
He was employed by the former Olivetti-Underwood Company, and
for the past 30 years was a self-employed realtor. He was active
in the Democratic Party in Hartford for many years and was a
former member of the Hartford Board of Tax Review, serving as
chairman of the board. He was also an avid soccer player and
a founding member, player and coach of the Italian American Stars
of Hartford. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and
two daughters-in-law, Rosario and Shirley Musumeci of Glastonbury,
and Joseph and Lisa Musumeci of Hartford; two sisters, Maria
Birritteri of New Britain and Santina Briganti of Newington;
a brother, Santino Musumeci of Catania, Sicily: four grandchildren:
Vincent, Eva, Michael, and Nina Musumeci; and a great grandchild,
Alexander Musumeci. Funeral arrangements were handled by D'Esopo
Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield, followed
by a Mass of Christian Burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Donations
