Town InformationThe Town of Bolton is a quiet community located in the granite hills of Central Connecticut east of Hartford with a population of 4,610 and covering 15.5 sq. miles. It was established in October of 1720. Bolton's chief claim to fame lies in its quarries in the area of Bolton Notch and Quarryville which produces a very beautiful slate that is used in building construction all across the United States.
