Town InformationThe town of Lisbon in east central Connecticut, covers 16.5 square miles and is home to approximately 3,830 residents. Lisbon was first 1687. In 1786, the town was incorporated under its present name on lands from Norwich. Because of its hilly and rocky terrain, Lisbon was the first town in the county a railroad tunnel had to be built. Today the town retains its agricultural character.
